Cracks

Cor-- Cracks I told you it had cracks
See how far I walked on the Ice road, even with cracks.
I liked this picture of the Hamlet.
This is the Golf Course, It's on a sand bar. Can't wait to see what is under all this snow...

  1. Oooh - Cool pics. Is that the moon or the sun?

Are you sure those are cracks?

  2. That is the Sun, huge and bright.

Well in the summer I don't have boat to get out there, and the water is too cold to swim. Right now I could use a nut but if it goes to far out forget about it!
I saw a giant white bunny, they grow big here. I didn't want to get to close, they might bite. There almost as big as a dog, so who knows how vicious they are..Might make the local paper dumb blonde attacked by white bunny..scary

  3. I also saw an elder bringing in chunks of ice, looked like huge diamonds. They make tea with it..
So I had to taste it, see if it was salty...it's fresh water and tasted nice. I gotta try that ice-tea

  4. Great pictures. How deep is that ice? Not sure I would be brave enough to walk on cracked ice.

  5. Ann they have told me it is more than 5 feet sold ice. Otherwise there is no way I would step on it...It is very nice up here, even though it is cold. You just have to dress for it and it can be enjoyed..

  6. LOL don't worry those "cracks" are totally fine. Folks up there will ride their snow machines on it until there is at least a foot of water over top of the ice, the bottom ice is still good. Ice fishing season is just getting into swing. I used to cut off my snowmobiling end of March anyways because I'm a freaked out southerner lol. I still have dreams of going under and I live in Ontario now!

  9. They don't have sand traps - they have ice chips he he he. Do you think sun tan lotion freezes? I can just see it cracking and dropping off.
Last time I checked airfare from the hamlet of Seattle it was over 2000.00 bucks(American dollars not female deers). Doesn't look like I will be a regular at cariboo glove sewing class ?:( and just think of the value I could add. I could be the chewer.

  10. Seat sale from Yellowknife to Kugluktuk 499. good deal. Drug mom and put her on the plane...
I have moved into a new place it is very nice and I have a gorgeous view of the Artic Ocean from my livingroom. Vaulted ceiling and nice kitchen. Reminds me of a westcoast home design.
Cor maybe the hamlet will fly you in for some chewing sessions.
Grizly bear has been seen close to town... I told the guy I walk to work with that as long as I can run faster then him I'm ok. he looked me and I know was thinking no worry there. I said to him you would be amazed how fast I might move if I saw a grizzly. I know I would not be the bait....Note to self put my yak tracks on my runners, boots to heavy..
