Getting crazy excited to go home and see kids and family! We are out for about a month and half, our first holiday. I have had a christmas tree up for awhile and listening to christmas music. I love Christmas...

Goodbye Sun!

Well we are quickly losing our sun. It comes over the horizon around 10 ish and sinks 3 ish. Soon it will be gone completly. On one side is the sun and the other is the moon. Thay chase each other around the sky. They seem so huge here and we feel so much closer. The sky just facinates me here, it really is different than any other place I have been in the world.

Snow Blizzards

The last few days have been snow with high winds. The tempture is hovering around -10, but with the wind chill factor it is about -27. Halloween night was incredible, we had about 150 kids, and ran out of candy, chips. People were coming on snow mobiles, but there was not enough snow. This year is very mild and not as much snow as any other year they have said. It is usually completly white by this time of year, and much colder. I wonder what global warming is really doing? Lookig forward to Holidays and seeing my family, we miss them so much. Soon I will put up some more pictures. take care!

Snow in Kugaaruk

Hmm hmm Santa Claus is coming to errrch. It's September and it snowed. This is going to mess majorly with my internal seasonal clock. All my life snow = christmas. Well here it means fall, the kids have been back in school for a month already. I have been too busy to go to the ocean to see if I can see any whales. But I sneak peaks often. It really feels more comfortable when I come back into town and everyone remembers me. This is the place where they say they are stingy for me, sure makes me feel wanted. Miss everyone, write mee

Today I bought a Pepsi

I have had one pepsi since I have been in the Arctic, good thing I am not a pop drinker. Anyways I was at the northern and they had a sale on a case of Pepsi $ 19.98. For some reason I wanted a pepsi so I bought one and paid $2 a can. I realised when I bought my few grocery I was not looking at the price but the due date. Things here never get taken off the shelf. I think they just dry up and fall into the cracks. Someone told me they saw a can of meat on the shelf and it was 15 years old. They bought it for a keepsake.
The weather is getting colder, the wind is very cold. I guess the snow is coming..
